Franziska Strauss presents her first solo exhibition, Reckoner / I killed my dinner with karate at the gallery from March 5th to April 9th, at the Egbert Baqué Contemporary Art in Berlin.
” The works are emphatically non-artificial, taken directly from life, with sweat and all. Franziska Strauss is the chronicler of a young generation’s attitude to life, a generation well aware of its unbridled verve here and now, but one that also struggles with high expectations and the attendant fears and pressures, as well as a fear of an uncertain future. In the symbol of dance, the artist finds the suitable expression. To grasp what that feels like, one must see her photographs.”
