Below are the results of an experiment: The premise is simply to capitalize on the excitement of receiving mail. Being as rare as that is these days in our e-universe, we encouraged a group of random participants to create an exhibition that would come together at our doorsteps. The framework of this project was to gather a group and provide every individual with everyone else’s mailing address. A lot of these folks didn’t know each other, which really provided most of the excitement. A theme was supplied, and everyone was off running creating their postcards. We would then mail them out to each other and everyone would then receive a piece of art in the mail! We decided to kick-off the first round with the theme of the Rhizome seeing as how we felt this project was one in itself. Below are the results:
