Disturbed Boundaries

If you find yourself in Athens, GA check out ‘Disturbed Boundaries.’ This is a solo show of fellow Hugger Moon Jung Jang’s latest work. From the small glimpse she shows on her site, it looks to be a provocative new collection of graphic ideas. A boundary is a line that marks the limits of an area; a dividing line. It often means a limit of a subject or sphere of activity relating to political, geographical, and ideological spaces. This research focuses on the relationship between physical borders and metaphoric spaces in typography. With typographic experiments, I explores the behaviors of borderlines in dealing with a mathematical standardization of the stroke tools, whether highly expected or more challenging and unexpected. Most importantly, I seeks to create meaningful space through disturbed boundaries. Gallery N231* Lamar Dodd School of Art, UGA * Graphic Design, 2nd Floor, Glass corner at the end of the North Wing
